When is the best time to book my Session?
Maternity sessions are best scheduled during or a little after your second trimester. If you wait until your 3rd trimester to get your photos taken, you may already be experiencing a lot of tiredness, discomfort, or shortness of breath.
Newborn sessions are best booked around your second trimester together with your Maternity session or
6-8 weeks before your due date. I take on a limited number of sessions each month so I would love to accommodate you within the time frame of your baby's arrival.
I have already given birth. How soon should I contact you to schedule my session?
Congratulations on your delivery! You may reach out 2-3 days after your delivery or as soon as you get home from the hospital so I can find the best date for you.
HOW OLD SHOULD MY BABY BE TO GET THOSE SLEEPY POSES?
Your baby's age is important to achieve curly and sleepy poses. I recommend having your session when your baby is between 7-12 days old. Babies are usually more sleepy and flexible at this age Beyond two weeks of age babies tend to develop baby acne and colic which makes it harder for them to settle.
Where is my session held?
Maternity sessions are held in my home studio or at your outdoor location of choice. Newborn sessions are held in my home studio where you have access to our unique, vintage-inspired outfits and props.
Do you offer in-home sessions?
Life has a lot of demands especially when you have a newborn baby. Although I do most sessions in my home studio, I can accommodate you at your home for an additional Travel Fee of $100.
How long does the session take?
It typically takes 3-4 hours for Newborn Sessions. This allows enough time for feeding, cuddling, and comforting your baby. Maternity sessions last around 1-2 hours.
What is a Session Fee? Does it include products?
A non-refundable session fee is required to secure your session date. It covers my time before, during and after your session. This includes meet-ups. planning and conceptualization, and realization of your ideal session. Images from your session are purchased separately as collections. Please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org to get a copy of my 2019 P ortrait Photography Pricing Guide.
Do I have to bring my own outfit or props?
You will have full access to our collection of vintage-inspired props and outfits in our home studio. However, feel free to bring an item or prop that is meaningful to you and your family so we can incorporate it in your session.
When will my photos be available?
A viewing and ordering appointment will be scheduled 3-4 weeks after your Newborn session where you can view your 20-image gallery for the first time and order your favorites.
Can you tell me more about your style?
My goal is to provide you with timeless images that you and your family can enjoy for a lifetime. I use vintage-inspired props and natural, earthy tones so they best complement your gorgeous baby and bring focus solely on his or her beautiful features.
I'm in love with a pose I found on Pinterest! Can you do it?
Although your session is customized and based on my style, I love hearing your ideas for inspiration! I will try my best to achieve a certain pose you request, however, sessions are always baby-led—meaning your baby dictates the flow of posing. His or her comfort and safety are always top priority. I will never force your baby into a pose he or she isn't happy or comfortable with.
I only want digital files. Do you offer digital-only packages?
Digital-only packages are available. I believe that your beautiful images need to live and be adored in tangible forms such as prints, canvases, and albums so print collection packages and ala carte products come as add-ons to your digital gallery.
